What to Expect at Your First Clinic Visit

At Carolina RHI, we want your first visit to be as smooth and stress-free as possible.

What to expect during your visit to Carolina RHI

During your visit: You can expect a thorough consultation and a gentle rectal exam—an important step in understanding your symptoms. In most cases, patients are eligible for in-office treatment the same day, so you can start feeling better right away.

No driver required: You can come to and leave your appointment on your own.

Recovery: Most patients return to work the very same day after treatment. Depending on your symptoms and the type of procedure performed, some may prefer to take a day off.

Colonoscopy: If needed: We will recommend a colonoscopy to rule out other causes of bleeding, such as polyps or colon cancer. The good news is that if hemorrhoids or other common issues are found, we can treat them during the same procedure.
